For Reverend Albert G. Davis, Jr. and his late wife, DeVera, including Bryn Mawr Hospital in their will is their way of helping to ensure that the hospital will be here to care for their community, long into the future.

“My father, Alfred E. Troncelliti, was born the last of ten children in 1905 in a small town in southern Italy into what could be described as ‘challenging’ socio-economic circumstances. How he proceeded from there to Jefferson Medical College—and to Bryn Mawr Hospital—is an epic saga that could easily become ‘The Great American Novel’,” relates Dr. A. Wayne Troncelliti.

Throughout their lives, they demonstrated their spirit of caring for others in many ways.

With a history of working with non-profits as a compensation consultant and as a volunteer board member in his own communities, Robert B. Jones was aware of the benefit that so many of these organizations bring to our world. Bob was particularly impressed with Bryn Mawr Hospital, which shines because of stellar leadership and an excellent caregiving team of physicians, nurses and other employees.

As a former fundraising professional and volunteer, Julie fully understands the value of helping to support cherished community institutions, and believes that Bryn Mawr Hospital is well-deserving of her charitable donations.

“Bryn Mawr Hospital is a gem, a community treasure,” says Claire. “It’s a non-profit hospital focused on quality care.” Peter adds, “I’m motivated to help because I know my contribution will be used wisely for countless families.”

Having grown up and lived on the Main Line all her life, Kate Kittleman has many reasons to be grateful that Bryn Mawr Hospital has always been there when she or someone in her family needed care. From her first patient experience at age seven (tonsillectomy), to teenage years as a "Candy Striper," to her 10 years as a Hospital employee many decades later, Kate’s appreciation for this venerable institution has grown ever deeper. When the time came to create an estate plan, it seemed only natural for Kate to include a provision for Bryn Mawr Hospital. After all, she considers herself a proud "member of the family" and as such, leaving a legacy feels not merely fitting but personally satisfying.

Bob Dunn was a dedicated supporter of Bryn Mawr Hospital. A longtime resident of the community, he took great pride in enhancing and preserving the area for its residents. Supporting Bryn Mawr Hospital was merely an extension of his commitment to the community.

Civic volunteer Kathleen Troncelliti established a Charitable Gift Annuity at Bryn Mawr Hospital in memory of her husband, Manrico Troncelliti, MD. It was her way of honoring his name while helping ensure the Hospital’s future.

Walter Morgan, founder of Wellington Management, and his wife Helen were immensely generous to Bryn Mawr Hospital. They gave over $2 million during their lifetimes and nearly $3.5 million through their estate plans, including a charitable remainder trust.

After 35 years on our medical staff, Dr. Jim Kavle’s lifelong tie to Bryn Mawr Hospital inspired his family to establish the C. James Kavle, MD Memorial Endowment through a charitable remainder trust.

When lifelong traveler Florence Haehnlen passed away in 1959, her charitable trust eventually gave nearly $1 million to Bryn Mawr Hospital, supporting board-designated areas of need in perpetuity.
